It certainly looks very original. A good find!
John
Got it going this afternoon, all it needed was a bit of fuel in the tank then it started after a few turns.Although the idle was a bit rough and a few water leaks.Besides that it sounded pretty good and hardly any smoke:).Cant drive it yet though no clutch and no brakes.:(
G'day keith73 :)
Nice :D 143100617 is the 616th RHStg CKD vehicle for the 1961 year model and fitted with the 2.25 engine :D and it is very complete with a lot of original tools, that screw bottle jack was also a Landrover supplied item in the later years of 2a's (aka Holden jack);)
Very nice find
cheers
Thanks,I first heard about it long after i got the red 2a.A bloke who i see at the pub at times told me he a capstan winch for one but it was still on the land rover which he wanted to sell so naturally i went around to have a look.I pretty much bought it on the spot.
Ive finally had some time to work on the Land rovers this weekend and so i decided to take the SWB for a spin for the first time.:D:D
