    Well done there!
    Just looking at thos image:

Has this vehicle had an impact on the front left?
There looks to be a chassis repair just behind and above the shock absorber mount.

A 1962 2a I'm restoring has a repair at nearly the same point though not nearly as neat:

did you have any issues with chassis straightness at all?

    Hi all,
    thanks for your comments.

Incisor - I put in the engine I could get @ $200 complete - the engine number is 251 something so I think it's a 1962 which was good enough for me (don't know any different). The car was built with a 2L but I don't have the money or time to wait for one of those. When I got it, it had a 186.

Korg - no damage there - it's just the paint reflection, it was half painted with rust converter.

Grey Ghost - Your grey Ghost looks good & the new project will look fantastic because you put so much effort into cleaning & painting - I don't have that much patience. I am sick of cleaning & haven't started cleaning, cutting back & painting the panels yet. Just starting on the bulkhead now, got it sand blasted.

Drifter - One day - in about a year I will be able to drive it to your side of town & visit. one day, some day, maybe - if only !!!! I will get there but boy is it slow work. Stripped down the steering box last Sunday & gave it a good clean. Ball bearing look OK & not much crap inside.

    bye for now.

    Hi Steve,
Where did you get the paint for your engine? I have been looking for some duck egg blue for my 2.25 but haven't had much luck.

    Thanks

    Jondavball,
I went to Allard paints in Isa st. & gave them the code from the sticky thread at the top of this section. british standard colour - BS4800 or BS5252 16C33.
Allard's said that 2 pack is good to use on engines but I won't know till it's been running. Knowing my luck it will all peel off .

    regards
    Steve
