    Series 2 Windscreen rubber question

I have had the windscreen frame of my 1961 regalvanised - and it looks lovely, got new glass for it and all ready to put is back on. However when I took it off initially, the bottom rubber was glued to the body, which was a bugger to get off. Is it normal to glue it on or does it just sit there? BTW, I have new rubber for it........

If you mean the rubber underneath the windscreen frame, then yes my S3 one was glued on; however; I used windscreen sealant under my new one and on top of the seal as well,

There is a four wheel drive place down here in Blackburn called, surprisingly, "landrovers.com.au" and I got it from there. They have a website but its not up and running at present. i'm not sure what it cost but it was only about $20 or so.

There is also a place in Vic called "roverparts.com.au" and they have it to for about the same price.

I was going to go to Clark's Rubber but I wasn't too sure of the proper size (the one that was on there was not original), softness, density etc.

check out both places, their phone numbers ore on their page.

    hope this helps. cheers

Bev and Anthony are NOT the 4 four wheel drive place in Blackburn. Anthony (top bloke by the way) lives in Kilsyth and runs "British 4WD Imports" Not sure of his number, have a new phone and have lost it.

    cheers

Yeah, I worked that out after I posted. Bev sent me a quote for all of the rubbers I require for doors, tailgate, air vents and the screen rubber $418.00. I will have to do the lot as they are all shagged.

I would suggest that you specify "Bearmach" brand over "Britpart".
