Harrison the Series 2A... My land rover

    Hi everyone
This is my first thread on this forum and I'm relatively new but anyway, this is my Series 2A a family member gave me. Anyway, I'm unsure of the year and it's had a holden 161 red motor put in it and the clutch isn't working so I've only driven it once (around the block in low range first) and I've made a start on cleaning it up so here we go....

This was before cleaning it all up

Err... no idea what that stuff is...

Fuel tank for now is a jerry can as the fuel tank is leaky...

I think Harrison might need a whole new rear end

The holden 161 and engine bay with dodgy wiring included

Partly through cleaning out the tray

Top half of the doors need attention

    Continued in next post

    Partially through cleaning the interiour

Found this under the seat... I doubt this landy is ex military or anything but this was interesting

Making sure I don't loose anything

Looking alright... This marks the end of the first day cleaning up

Starting ripping out all the carpet and wood... It was horrible. Had some help from a friend

After that was all done... this was the result:

(Yes, there is a great big gaping whole in the firewall)

Anyway, it still has a lot of things that require attention on it. Since the budget is $500, it's probably not going on the road unfortunately (but maybe in the future)
Pretty much all the electrics besides the engine itself aren't working and the wiring looks like a mess and since a lot of it was put in by the PO, it's just random colours so that will be fun . I'm pretty sure it was originally negative ground but anyway.... That's it for now

Welcome to the forum mate Looks like fun. Just a guess but I would say circa 1968 looking at the wipers and steering wheel. Hard to tell some times. Keep the pics coming.

    cheers Simon

Welcome! It looks like you're in for a fair bit of fun there, and, er, work.

I'm looking forward to seeing your progress. Great to see another SIIA on the road back to roving.

    John
