    I use Olympic Steeltrek. I think they have a 10 ply rating.

    Can you still get them? I had to go the troopy tyre option. Dunlop road grippers. I know a place that has them.

    I spoke to my tyre man today. He reckons he can get me a set of 2nd hand tyres for $300. That price suits me. I'll have to see what brand he comes up with.

    But that purchase is a long way off yet.

    I have Doublestar DS805 's on mine, they are r16x7.0 and we cruise happily at 50 mph (and did so across the nulla and back), can accelerate up to 65mph if needed. road going tread.

    I wanted 7.5's but this was all they had in the price range i could afford, and i was very happy with the extra torque that little amount of height lost made
