It has a nissan cabstar box fitted to original transfer case. Unfortunatly the conversion is no longer available new. Not sure who did it either. I think Mick88 said it was an old marks adaptors conversion.

Spent a bit time yesterday looking again at the brakes.
Turns out the main issue was the master.
Threw in newbie with a few mods to make work and the old boy pulls up no worries.
Did some investigation on the throttle also and it does appear that the pedal is hitting the floor with still plenty of stick left in the cable.
I could get the speed up a little further by notching up that semi circular contraption (what do you call this) found under the instrument cluster but not enough to maintain any sort of speed up long hills.
Looks like I have some work to do here.
Going to take it for a drive around town today and hopefully find a few nice spots for photos.
Cheers
Stu.

The "semi circular contraption" under the speedo might be the hand throttle!
To feed a few more calories to her try adjusting the pedal itself, by loosening it off then raising it a bit. If that doesn't work you will need to have a tinker with the linkages under the bonnet.
Cheers, Mick.

Thanks Mick, The pedal was exactly the issue!!
It was quite loose and was actually slipping slightly on the rod so was getting shorter throttle over time. I took to it with a couple half inch spanners and now it has some serious get up and go!!
All i can say is that I'm glad I got the brakes sorted first!
Thanks for your help everyone!
I dropped the oil from the transfer case and will be doing the gear box this weekend.
Can anyone tell me how much should be going into each? I have done a search but could not find anything concrete.
also, this is the box and transfer currently on the vehicle if that helps.

I posted a PDF with fluid capacities on JB's built thread on 9 January at around 08:30. I tried to link it, but didn't seem to work.
Cheers,
Lou
From memory it is 7 pints total.
2 1/2 gearbox
4 1/2 transfer case.
Cheers, Mick.
