*snip* Now, don't cringe at this suggestion, but if you are seriously thinking about making the Series 2 you're daily drive, try and find a 200 Tdi and a pair of Range Rover Classic diffs. The engine will fit the 2a box and the box will cope with a 200, the 2a radiator also copes, and early Range Rover 3.54:1 diffs are a straight swap for your 4.7:1's. The vehicle is already without its original engine, and (without some fancy carbs and some porting) the 2.286 is not that potent.. *snip*
