what I have done on my 80" is tap a thread to take a 1/2" water pipe plug , have seen it on other IOE motors as well . Once they are fitted you need to grind were the manifold surface is , it needs to be flat other wise you will brake the manifold when you will tighten it , I leant from experience .Quote:

the plug I got from Bunnings had the advantage of not needing any grinding, in fact with the manifold on it stops the plug from turning. Perfect solution!
