I can relate to that back when Qld was getting more rain than it dose these days , every I took Landy to a car show topless & windscreen on bonnet it would rain on way home. Used to have the motor bike riders pointing there head as they went past indicating I should have a helmet on.

After nearly three years of carefree motoring Jade has decided she needs more attention than servicing.
A week or so ago I had difficulty getting the car out of first into reverse and vice versa.
This afternoon the car wouldn’t go from first to reverse in a mates driveway so I gave the gear stick a bit of force and it went into neutral however when I select a gear now all I get is a bit of whirring from the box but no movement in any gear.
    Any ideas anyone

    Cheers Paul

Unless something has gone at the bottom of the gear lever (i.e. did your persuasion force the ball out of the selector) then the problem lies in side deep down.

My gearbox was the same when I got Sid and that was the bronze main shaft bush.

    I had a similar situation.
The reverse gate had broken and was stopping gear selection. Couldn't get a replacement so welded up the break in it and refitted.
There were some pictures on here but removed thanks to Photobucket.

Once you remove the transmission tunnel you'll get a better idea.
