    S2a burning issue

    I was pottering around today and decided to undo the fuel hose at the carburettor.
    with the slightest touch of a spanner on the carb fitting which the hose attaches to, the fitting just came loose and could be withdrawn, if the engine had been running this would have been pressurised and popped out spewing fuel over the engine and hot exhaust, most likely turning the car black very quickly.

    fire is about the worst thing to happen to any car.

    please check your carburettor to ensure yours is tight.

    That's a little concerning!

    In a lighter tone... You were just pottering around and decided to undo a carbie pipe...
    i wonder what other non-land rover people do with their spare time. Gardening really can't be that interesting! Isn't it funny how we are mostly people who like to potter around with mechanical items as a default.

    Well, really I am taking the engine out, but at my current progress rate, it's pottering.

    was changing the gearbox and decided to stop some oil leaks.
