Pitted Swivels - When is it too much

Also read a MOD of adding grease nipple to lub top pin.
Any member done this MOD.

I bought from ebay from DLS ;Land Rover supplies,
good to deal with, good pricing and the product is very good.

cheaper than ****ing around trying to dodge up stuffed ****.

Problem is, as mentioned by Chazza, some of the aftermarket ones are rubbish.

If it's a few pits then worthwhile trying epoxy metal. More than that then look for another axle or try (and keep your fingers crossed) some aftermarket ones.

I found an axle complete with better swivels for one of mine. fixed everything up and then parted out a LWB wagon and scored a front axle with the wide brakes (6-cyl motor originally) and perfect swivels !

Same for me. Used JB Weld (I think) in the pits and after two or three years they're holding up well. But, admittedly, the Landy spends most of her time standing around looking pretty.
