A quick update... got another quote from my UK supplier with other bits and pieces and its still cheaper than buying from Oz!! At least I can progress with putting the gbox back in leaving pretty much the drive train complete.
Hi Cap-
Nice video on the front grill section! I'll watch your YouTube channel, as I have a Series IIA as well.
Good luck with the restoration.
Thanks!
Mike

Cap,
I may have a used but still serviceable 9.5" pressure plate here, I will have a look through my bits n pieces tomorrow.
Alternatively ACS (Australian Clutch Services) in Wingfield S.A. do a good product at a reasonable price.
I have them in two of my Landys and they are a nice soft easy clutch to use.
They are available through Bursons, and probably other places like Repco, Sprint Auto's, etc.

Well I am making progress with the build, but more like 2 steps forward, 1 back. I have hooked up the brake/clutch reservoir and noticed theres brake fluid slowly leaking from the clutch line from reservoir to MC. I think the line fitting is the problem.
This line is the thicker 1/4" pipe with the larger fittings to suit the original reservoir. Has anyone got one they wish to sell?
This is the item im after:
EDIT: Found one from an Oz supplier at a REASONABLE price, unbelievable!

OK, so I had not much luck with the brake line... it comes as a straight pipe and you need to bend. After my first bend, I realised its about 5cm too short in comparison with the OEM one. I contacted the Oz supplier and basically they told me tough luck as I bent it already. I stated that the item NEEDS to be bent ( I sent photos of both items) and that its not fit for purpose.
Havent got a reply yet, so fae to say I wont be buying from them again! When I bought my brake line kit from the UK, they also made a mistake with one length being a few inches short. They then sent out another length with fittings of course at no charge or with me even having to return the original item. Now thats service unlike the Oz suppliers (really cheesed off and I would like to say who they are but wont).

On another note, has anyone purchased the key/barrel to fit onto the original door handles? I see you can purchase these for early handles but wanted to see if anyone had done this before successfully.
Example of item here

The problem is with these sort of parts is that there may be various different lengths as things changed over the years. The fact that you bent it before checking means that they can't re-sell it, maybe they have sold many others without compliant ?
I understand your point of view but I also understand theirs.....
I'm able to make my own and always use a piece of string to roughly measure the overall length before cutting. Only one end is flared and then once I've bent, straightened, re-bent etc. till it fits I work out how much to cut off and then make the final flare (remembering to put the tube nut or flare nut on first !).
I've seen 'ready made' brake pipe fitted to Land Rovers with loops & kinks to take up the extra length which is a down side of buying 'ready made'. The seller probably gets complaints that 'it was too short' so they add to the length to keep people happy and then you get a pipe that's too long so you have to 'lose' the excess.
