    Retractable seatbelts

Can anyone confirm if the retractable/inertia belts available from UK landie shops meet Aust standards? I'd hate to put them in to get them knocked back from the engineer when we go to get registered.
Looking at getting them from UK only because I have an order coming and thought I'd just add them to it.

From my understanding they don't meet Aus standards even in it is equivalent to ours, not landy specific but after doing research on belts for my kombi.

The ones I sourced from Paddocks were AU/NZ approved.
I'll see if I can dig out a photo.

They have to have the Australian Standard compliance marking on them.

Does the car have seat belts already? You might not require them for registration purposes.

Just has original belts with corroded buckles.
Will find some local belts with suitable certification.
    Thx for input

Paddocks ones (Securon) meet the Australian ADR as mentioned previously.

It's a generic kit so you get an assortment of brackets & bolts.

Hey Colin, were they for hardtop or softtop ?

Also, do you have a link to where these are on paddock's website ? I tried searching for "securon", and it looks like the only intertia ones they have are model 700, not 500/30.

    Thanks

Just ordered under Series 2 and 3, Upholstery & Interior, seatbelts.

Intertia Lap and Diagonal Belt for outer front seats of Series hardtop vehicles. - Paddock Spares

Not sure how you'd mount the upper point in a soft top. You'd need to add a mounting point which might have to be 'engineered'.

    seat belt brackets

    Hi All

I have also been looking at seat belts and liked the look of some brackets sold in the US. See attached website.

Series II, IIA, III, Seat Belts - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts

Does anybody know if there is a local supplier of this type of bracket?

    Cheers
    Angus

Which one, there are a lot there ?

There are a couple that are readily available but some they may be getting made, they look like the LR part but probably only available secondhand locally.
