200tdi into 2A - engineering compliance, diesel kill switch

Just reading the Qld gov requirements per Aust Stds and found this:

2.8.1 Engine Stops for Vehicles Operating on Diesel
The AVSR requires that a motor vehicle propelled by a compression ignition engine is fitted with adevice that prevents the engine from being started accidentally or inadvertently. Vehicles fittedwith diesel engines must therefore be equipped with a locking device that prevents the enginefrom being started accidentally or inadvertently.

If a cable operated fuel pump stop is used for this purpose, this control must remain in the Offposition until such time as the engine is ready to be restarted.

Later model diesel engines thathave a solenoid operated fuel cut-off system must be able to be switched off using the ignitionswitch and only be started when the ignition switch is in the Run position. If a solenoid operated fuel cut-off system is used, it must be able to be operated independently ofthe ignition switch.

So, I guess this means that I need to install a 'kill switch' to operate the fuel solenoid.
Has anyone else done this??? I just wired it to the ignition as it would have been on the donor Disco 1.

Hmm, the way I read it is that wiring it to the ignition is fine. It's the way it is on my D1. That last line is confusing though. Buggered if I know how I can operate the solenoid fuel cut off system independently off the ignition switch, short of pulling the wire off.

I put a 200tdi into a Series 3. Wired it so the ignition switch does it all, walked through road worthy here in QLD no worries. In saying that though the guy who looked at it had to ask me if it was a standard engine or not; I could have been sly and said it was, but I'm a honest guy.
