The mounts are definitely too low so it looks like the engine may need to come out and new brackets fabricated...... and welded in properly.
Anyone got an old rusted chassis with spare mounts that i can use?
I have no doubt the bracket was taken off, and reattached at a later stage by previous owner.
The truck had a std petrol before the 12J that was in it when I acquired it, and I have dropped in the 200tdi.
I will definitely revisit those welds.

Update
Old chassis bracket cut out (there’s a fun job under the car with the engine suspended by crane and trolley jack), chassis cleaned and replacement welded on. I happened to find a donor rusty 2a chassis that no longer needed a bracket.
