    Series 2A wiper blades

    Hi all,

I need to replace the aged wiper blades on my S2A reno and having a problem identifying and buying new ones.

The blades I have are pictured....

Is the end of the wiper arm the "spoon" fitting?

I can't identify any blades that have the hook as per the unit I have removed.

I can find some blades that are part numbers GWB128 and (or replaced by) RTC3460...both mention a "spoon" fitting....and may possibly fit? but it's a very different fitting on the blade.

I have also seen a kit that updates the arms and spindle fitting to newer sprung blades....I'd like to keep the original if possible.

Both wiper motors run well on the bench...ones a little slower that the other.

It also brings into question the age of the S2A I have....I was working on it being 1966/66 but from what I can tell, these wipers are an older type?

    Any help would be appreciated,

    ta

    thanks 1950Landy

I have looked all over - ebay AU, US and UK about 7 different Land Rover suppliers, All 4x4, British Auto Parts, Paddocks etc...there does not seem to be a definitive answer or listing anywhere. The All 4x4 parts guy (very helpful I will add) has not stocked anything like this for years.

1950...are you blades the same style?

There's mob in the UK from whom I bought mine a handful of years back. They were called Tex Automotive and were just the ticket (nice fellow called Mike was really helpful). They can do just about any combination of size, sprung or unsprung blade, arm mounting, material etc etc.

They're at: Welcome to Tex Automotive Ltd

Fabulous gentlemen, thank you....the TEX automotive will be the long term solution but just ordered the Vintage units off the local ebay.

Appreciate the assistance and sharing of wealth of knowledge!
