Couple of items ticked off today:

    • New engine mounts fitted (still need to do the gearbox mounts)
    • Fitted the rear brake line to the rear diff (and the brake line support bracket)
    • Played with the carby (running better)
    • Got in trouble for working on the land rover and not on the house.

    Some parts arriving this week:

    • Rear propshaft
    • Shocks all round
    • Rebuild kit for the rear diff (bearings and seals)
    • Gaskets for the gearbox plate

Today I pulled the rear diff centre out to replace the gasket and missing nuts. Cleaning the old gasket off proved to be a crap job. Particularly with the diff in the car!!!

Loose fitted the rear propshaft, before being dragged away by the family My little Series 2

Planning to rebuild the rear wheel bearings and brakes next.
