    May have been scratched or chipped on the edge during installation. This happens with toughened glass!

    Just browsing this thread for another and came across your photos of core plugs. Must admit that I could not quite believe my eyes! I did exactly the same thing when I was about 20 years old for my S II diesel. I didn't machine it up myself, but had an old German master turner do it for me. I can still remember him saying: "Ya, Ya, ist bloody gut idea"! I am now 76 years old, but no longer have a Series, just a Discovery. Cheers Mick!
