Has anyone got any ideas of a way to try and trace this? I'm guessing no one on here has it or has seen it, but has anyone successfully found a car they have been looking for? I know with privacy laws this makes it hard.
Thanks.
This is my 1969 Series IIA. It was my very first car, which I rebuilt when I was 17 years old. As like any younger bloke I needed to sell it to get a more daily friendly car. I sold it back in 2003 from memory (sold in sydney) to a guy that was taking to his farm afew hours away from sydney, it was sold unregistered but I know he re registered it. I would love to know where it is now.
It has a series III chassis under it. It did have a series IIa army 4cyl engine in it and had a series III gearbox. I have my old rego papers so have the engine and chassis number
Thanks

I feel your pain - I've been looking for my old IIa shortly for years but the trail has been long cold for me - chances are it's gone to god or been scrapped for parts which is a bit sad, but who knows. Only a very small percentage of Land Rover owners are on this forum in reality so it's not an easy task.
If you have the old chassis number or rego number you could check to see if it still registered at all, although even if it is, you could find it hard to get an address.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
