    Hi Matt.
Been watching these for a while. I turned down owners off a while back.
Family farm now sold. Has to be mooved quickly, So now worth less than scrap money, as he doesn't want them scrapped.
My Darling partners first comment when I told her was 'Do you need the cash'
No, she doesnt have a Sister......
    Maybe have a look today.

    Good Afternoon.
Going to pick up this 2a SWB and a rough LWB military which 'apparently' had a fully rebuilt gearbox. $400 the pair.
    Only Pic of SWB.
In the pouring rain, didnt look for gearbox number, but it has the fixed 1 1/2 top plate on gearbox cover, unlike earlier removable cap type ?
Also didnt see chassis number, but looked on the rear LH Spring hanger ? Would it be on the front hanger ?
Calvin suggests March 69- April 69. With numbers.
Should the axles have first 3 digits as per plate and suffix F stamped on them ?
Thanks for your comments and observations.

    Few more questions.
When did lights move the outside ?
Does the Radiator have a date stamp/coin somewhere ?
Do the rear lights look original ?
Would this year have a generator or alternator ?
What year did they go to Full syncro gearbox ?
    Thanks.

About 1969, but does not seem to be consistent. I think Australian production moved later than home.

Early Series 1 does, but I have not found dates on 2a (doesn't mean at least some don't have dates)
Do the rear lights look original ?
Tail lights yes, Blinkers, hard to tell. It may well have been built before turn indicators became compulsory, early-mid sixties but depended on which state.
Would this year have a generator or alternator ?
All 2a had a generator as standard. Alternator was optional, became standard with Series 3

Last year of Series 2a home market station wagon only. But of course, assemblies are interchangeable!
    Thanks.

The Solex carburettor, dash with combined ignition/light switch, wiper motor mounted on windscreen frame, wire spoke steering wheel, point immediately to pre-1967. But again, most parts are interchangeable, at least as assemblies.
