I very much doubt it. There is a slight chance that Repco in Dubbo might have one, but I have no intention of going there before I have to go in for a booster on the 19th. In about ten minutes I will be on the phone to All four x 4 who almost certainly have one, and can get it to me in about two days or less. (although with covid delays heaven knows) I think they open at 0830.Quote:

Wasn't in a Hurry, but took 10 days.
It amazes me what Murwillumbah Repco have in stock, or can get in the next day.

I agree, I found that SCA offered head gaskets for the old 6-pot 2.6 engines, which was a big surprise, and had it in store in a day or two. If they have parts for a 6-pot, they must have anything!

Ordered Monday, arrived Wednesday - not too bad for parts for a fifty year old car. (All Four x 4), and not too bad for Australia post, either. And not all that expensive either - $112, including $26 postage.
Now to put it together - but I still need to get a second coat of paint on the head, and paint the thermostat housing and exhaust manifold. I'm thinking I will put it back on minus all the bits - it is more fiddly work leaning over the mudguard, but - that head is heavy, even without the extra bits!
Hopefully you put a straight edge across the head? When they are resurfaced the allowance is .0015" so you wouldn't want to see much more than that when you run your feelers gauges over it
Be very careful to check for a crack in the head. Mine was, almost invisible. Soon blew another gasket!
If there is a crack it is invisible, and against a straight edge it has an end to end bow of between 0.0015" and 0.002"; 0.0015" feeler gauge will fit in the middle, 0.002" will not.
Head is now in place and torqued down. Today expect to get the bits and pieces put back on, drain and replace oil, and replace coolant. Should be fairly easy, provided I don't have unexpected problems and provided the forecast storm does not interrupt me.
