I have a few spare axles, looks like I need to remove the backplates, media blast & repaint them and I'll then have enough money to buy another Land Rover project !

I guess it's one of those parts that didn't move that often back in the day so they were never carried in any quantity. That means they are limited availability NOS and a press tool to re-manufacture would be expensive.

Unfortunately Britpart make one for $260 so it's not the cash cow you wished for

Possibly, just possibly mind you, for similar reasons your wife has for sending you there?

I know how mine used to think..

They'd like me to work full-time but I don't want that. I only went to help them out a few times.

I forgot to add, that the "few times" has developed into a little too much at times.

Sorry for late reply. just saw the post. I can make Front & rear disc brake conversion kits for Series LandRovers , the Conversion is VicRoads approved

If you want to convert the front to Discs & keep those rear rotors , Much Much better than going back to drums,

$1400 for the front , Using your hubs (which I need to machine) Includes everything in the picture.

Uses Toyota 300x12.5mm rotors & Girling M16 Calipers .. You have to run Wolf rims though.

Oh ****, just noticed I'm a year Late , I was thinking a few months late.

oh well never too late to convert to discs. (unless you already ran into the back of someone)

Maybe you could hit up someone on this thread. Admire your work though. Brake upgrades for Defender
