    G'day All,

This old girl "old yella" is not as pretty as some of those red fire appliances but has done it's fair share of work.

    Cheers

    Hi there,

I have just this minute Joined your Group, I have had a Unimog 1300 for the past 12 1/2 years, a Mighty Mite for past 9 years & my son coming to 15 years said he would like a Land Rover.... I could not beleave my luck to fall upon a NZ Skippy IIa 88inch. It does need work, but as they say, thats the fun. I must admit I like the Mechano bites & bobs of it.
I am a mechanic by trade & I am enjoying working on it. So far rub & paint the out side, finding rage top & frame, need to cape the door hinge plates both sides. Will fill in more as time permites, as off at Easter for NZMVCC Rally.
    regardes Stephen.

My first car in 85 was a 1966 SII A. LWB ute grey in color 4 cyl. Cost me 800 bucks from a farmer in Glenorchy, Vic. Drove it all thru the Grampians for a few years before I sold her. Drowned it in Lake Lonsdale one time, what a great car. My ferrets used to travel in the tool boxes in the back near the wheel arches, until one day they all fell out. I didnt know about the corrosion holes in the bottom of the tool box did I . Will try and get some pics up...

    G'day Joel,
Nice buy, your plans are much the same as mine. Looks funny with the 'pink bits' hiding under it.
Good name too! Might be a slow waltz down the highway though!
    Cheers,
    Mark
