    Radiator cowl on S2a

The manual shows a radiator cowl fitted to the radiator of the 2.25 engines. Mine, a 2.25D, has no such cowl and shows no locating points either. The radiator is a huge affair with a very thick core, easily twice the depth of a normal radiator. I live in a hot climate (ave summer temp 35C). Will the lack of this cowl cause the engine to over heat, other factors being normal?

All Series 2a had a cowl (plastic on later models, metal on early ones).

Lack of the cowl is likely to cause overheating in sever conditions - I don't imagine it was put there for fun.

They are held to the turned over edge of the radiator core side frames by ten (nine for the plastic) quite small self tapping screws - you should be able to see the holes. (unless you have a non-standard radiator)
