Well after much procrastination, I finally started pulling the front of Ralph apart to change the gearbox. The water pump (pictured) was completely Ted's Brother. Ordering a new one this morning. I was not looking forward to this but once I started, I really got into it again, sad ain't it :D. I managed to get everything disconnected from the engine last night, I will get the floor out tonight, disconnect the clutch slave cylinder, handbrake, speedo cable and rear drive shaft. Whilst I am at it, the brake booster needs to come out for a rebuild (bypassed at the moment) and the cabin fan is seized as well, so that has to come out. I am also going to replace the front springs while I'm at it as Ralph has quite a sag on the driver's side, (That's my story and I'm sticking to it). I should be able to lift the lot out on Saturday, pull the motor and gearbox apart and get a new clutch plate and pressure plate to go in after I get the flywheel machined by the guy who checked out the reco gearbox for me. Looks like I have a busy weekend ahead of me.
Cheers Ian
