    36IV 2.25P - cannot lower idle

    Hey all

I have tried lowering the idle on my Zenith carby and cannot get down below about 900-1000 rpm.
The idle screw is wound totally out.

What else can cause a high idle speed?

    Thanks
    Ash

set too rich and a post throttle body manifold air leak

    choke is set

or the throttle assembly is holding the butterfly open.

Throttle linkage is stopping it closing. Either the bell crank is sticking or something is out of adjustment.
