Thanks for the info, im still unsure of how to proceed though.
I know its been said that "up to 1980 or so" have replaceable sleeves but how do I actually tell if mine IS replaceable?
My car is '81.
If you look at the picture I posted in the first message it certainly LOOKS replaceable, as far as the stub and sleeve appear to be separate pieces.
Are they distinguished by the non-replaceable ones being a one piece, machined stub/sleeve?
I dont want to drill and cold chisel it unless im positive it CAN be replaced!
Basically my car (daily drive) is off the road until I fix it so I need to know if I buy a replacement stub axle, replacement sleeve or do I try to get it "speedi-sleeved" by local mechanics who probably will have no idea what im talking about... :(
