I've run Cibie H4 7" headlights for years in the Defender (and previously in a GQ Patrol)

Can get the number off the box if you want, had to swap one out as it had a hole from a rock a little while back.

That would be great. I currently have the Hella's, one has a rock hole in it so I'll buy a Cibie and put them up against each other.

OK, CibiƩ/Valeo part # is 082441/60 for a 7" round headlight without parker globe.
    That part # includes a 55/60w globe.

They are made in Belgium these days too.

I am running the clear vinyl stick on headlight protectors rather than an acrylic one but could never get it to stick the drivers side headlight (the curve of the lens is too great IMO) and of course that's the one that got 'rocked'
In theory light transmission should be greater with the stick on ones as there is only one air to lens surface so there should be much less reflection and scatter, but they're a bugger to stick on something with a fair old curve.
Run them on the GU Patrol without issue.

I've changed mine to Wipacs and fitted uprated bulbs- I would say it's 100% improvement on OEM lights!

These look good. Did you get them from the UK or locally? If they did come from the UK was the freight reasonable?

    Cheers,

    Lionel

Lionel, i got them from a local supplier - but I'm in RSA

It cost me around ZAR1350, so shouldn't be too much in AU$
