Usually one is to play in bog up to the middle of the door.
But this time it is playing with bog in the middle of the door.

Hey many thanks for that Jason, that paint stripper is nasty stuff, I'll stick to my 'eco' paint stripper though it's less effective.
Another product I've heard about is called 'gun cleaner'. It dissolves paint off aluminium, though I haven't tried it myself. ;)
Cheers, Harry & Son

Never mind Banj, you can paint over the grass that is stuck to the panel to give it a rough textured look!!!:p:twisted:
Banjo,
the best paint stripper is made by Turco. Can't remember the number but it will strip everything including polyurethane/2 pack. Poly/2 pack needs scuffing with scotchbrite/coarse paper prior to application to break the skin but after that it it just about hose off.
known in the aircraft industry as yellow pus and yes it will strip your skin so use the msds ppe.
Banjo, I recently had to strip some series rims so I could paint them before fitting new tyres, one was from either an army or army lookalike, had about 10 layers of every shade of olive drab imaginable plus black and silver under that. I asked a paint shop and they told me I'd need automotive paint stripper, real heavy duty stuff, about $40 for a tin. Looked at Bunnings and they told me the $35 a can Selleys stuff is the only one that would do it.
Typically I ignored both lots of advice and bought a litre can of the cheap stuff for $8 from Bunnings, says on the can it does domestic, automotive and industrial paint, comes in a yellow can I think with a red childproof cap, green gel consistency to the stripper.
Bloody brilliant stuff. 2 applications to completely strip the multi layered rim, first go took about 4 layers off, second go and a scrub with the rough wire scourers you get for cleaning pots and pans and it was back to bare metal, hit it with the gerni to clean it off and a quick wire brush and it was ready to paint. Worked the same on all the other rims too. I'll find the brand if you like.
I've also used it to clean army paint overspray off some id plates, takes the paint but doesn't harm the printing on the plate. Smells a bit but don't they all? Paint bubbles and wrinkles pretty quickly with this. Stripped 4 rims, 2 applications each and still have about half the can there.
Keep up the good work Banjo - following with interest!
