16 gallon under seat fuel tanks

G'day All,
attached are 2 pix of the fuel tank that I have, it doesn't leak, but it has surface rust on the inside of the tank, in my opinion it would be perfectly servicable as long as you have a in-line filter

or if you really wanted to make a good job, you could coat it with an epoxy resin all over the inside of the tank, thus sealing it, anyway cheers Dennis:angel:
ps I just think it's too good to destroy by punching some big holes in it, it has suffered the white type surface rust?? that fuel tanks get in them, from not being used/or kept full etc,,.

Just bumping this back to the top, as the tank is no longer available.
I knocked some rather large holes in it's sides and it has now gone as scrap:(, just in case someone stumbles upon this thread some time in the future, cheers Dennis:angel:

Instead of starting another fuel tank related thread I am posting a question on this old thread.

I bought a replacement chassis which came off a 1977 Hard top LWB Series III. It has a bracket on the driver's side not far from the rear wheel area on the chassis. Would this bracket have something to do with hanging a auxiliary fuel tank off? If so what shape of tank and what capacity would it have been? Would anyone have an photos of one of these tanks?
