Very nice job there
G'day all again, just wanted to show off Willy's new drawer system!! I just need to make up the right drawer and all my storage problems are gone.... so far has cost about $250 to knock up and a few days work. Well worth the effort...
Cheers, Andy
Very nice job there
Hi Andy,
I found your post from 2012 showing a set of drawers in your SIII. I have a 108 SIII with the tailgate and top door (unlike your side-opening door) and I am thinking of doing something similar. I want the top of the drawer cover level with the side benches to increase the amount of sleeping area while still having storage underneath.
Could you favour me with an answer to a few questions?
1. Is the material you used particle board, MDF or something else? How was it joined?
2. What sort of rollers did you use? Have they stood up to the test of off road vibration and impacts?
3. Your drawers appear to have a slope on the top of the sides towards the end. Why is this?
4. How long are your drawers (we have no back seats, so our drawers would be 6 feet long if they went full length.).
Thanks in anticipation,
Regards
Coop
