Hi Peter,
Search is your friend.
here is one that seems to have a couple of possibles for you -

There are more threads though.
Cheers,
TimJ.
I am trying to find the engine paint colour LR used on the Series 3 2.25 petrol engine.
Best I can describe it is a pale powder blue/green.
Anyone found a close match in an engine enamel.
Thanks

I searched for series 3 colour but only got the body stuff in the sticky, even it seems limited to the yellow mustard colours.
For the engine I was hopeful someone might know of a proper engine enamel (heat proof) in the colour so it did not burn off the head over time.
Search for "Engine paint" in the S3 section only and there are quite a few posts. But if you know the colour you should be able to get some paint made up that would work. I think I have seen some posts where just a normal enamel was used and seems to work fine. I don't think the engine itself gets hot enough to cause issues with the paint. Exhaust is a different thing altogether.

Hi,
As TimJ's link points out the colour you are looking for is duck egg blue. I had my paint mixed specifically by an auto paint supplier and i am happy with the result.
Jonathan
Supercheap Auto's can mix the colour for you in a spray can.
Just give them the colour name "Duck Egg Blue"
Cheers, Mick.

I agree with Jondavball
"Duck Egg Blue" is correct
Phil
"Duck egg blue" it might be - but most of the UK sites will argue that it has officially been designated as Light Admiralty Grey (BS-381c-697) since 1948 - sometimes called Light Battleship Grey. This is for both Series and Lightweights. Unless it is for a 5 bearing engine in which case it would be painted red.
Cheers,
OK thanks everyone
I will try to get a match in Albury this weekend.
I will need to buy a gasket set so I can strip the block and repaint the fittings too.
The rocker cover needs a good blast with desiccated coconut and all the black fittings will have to be repainted.
It will be the first paint job of the rebuild and because I am not rebuilding the engine I will be painting it assembled.
