I recently purchased a second hand "six" exhaust manifold from a guy in Qld and i reckon he had a few new old stock ones as well.
I will follow it up.
Cheers, Mick.

Years back Four Wheel Drives had stacks of standard 6-cyl exhaust manifolds (from previous army auctions).
I fitted one to my FFR and have a spare still in the Land Rover packaging.
I doubt they would still have them, last time they sold them they were on Ebay for $100 but in the old catalogue they are $275.
Worth making contact with the current owners, their part number is Q86 (I'll send them an email).
Someone contacted me a while back after one, he was paying a very high price for a secondhand one. I also remember Four Wheel Drives talking to a UK buyer for all they had left.

Checked with SE Auto Imports (was Four Wheel Drives) and no exhaust manifolds in stock.

Just a note on burning valves, back in the day we didn’t have radiator inhibitors and the water was from questionable sources when out bush. Both these factors lead to internal corrosion of the cooling system, the 2.6 has a water gallery made of brass that extends from the front of the block to the rear of the block. It is installed in two halves one from the front and one from the rear, they have a funny dogleg in the gallery so be very careful when removing it. The water is directed through this gallery to cool the block around the exhaust ports. When the gallery cooling holes/ slots become blocked / restricted the engine block adjacent to the exhaust valve no longer cools the valve seats leading to burnt valves.
So when doing up your engine make sure you clean out the cooling system thoroughly and keep it clean with a good inhibitor.
