The disk, was free with Classic Bike Mag, 30 yrs ago.
Started pulling the front axle apart.
little bits of brass ???? and some small steel bits, think I can see where they came from.
Every thing looks good inside, no broken chipped or scored teeth.
Can get this size feeler gauge between these two bits in the pic. Could find nothing in the manual.
.001 thou run out in the crown wheel,
Pinion to crown has almost no movement. Play mentioned in previous post, must be movement in axle shaft, in the diff splines.
To change the pinion oils seal, is it as easy as books suggest. pull out split pin, undo nut, pull off flange, prise out, oil inner lip of se seal sealant on outside, tap in, reverse to fit ????
