300 tdi into series 3

There's one in the markets section for sale, although I was told by the owner it has a few problems.
I'm still debating whether to continue and put in the 300tdi motor as I'm reluctant to cut off the original engine mounts, If I could find a Defender 200tdi motor I'd use it instead as it's a much easier conversion.


This chap in the gold coast club has done this rather nice conversion, so it can be done :)

I actually went and had a look at that one.Very good condition,nice wagon.Front wheels are a bit far forward and rears a bit far back.Tie rod is under leaves so hangs below diff,Bit of a worry.Otherwise very nice and excelent condition.
