If you want lighter steering on a Series, change the top swivel from Railco bushes to tapered roller bearings. It's merely machining down the Railco to accept the same tapered roller as is on the bottom.

Make sure your steering damper is in good condition as the kickback off-road can break your thumbs.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

Steering damper? Better add that to the shopping list!!

I've not heard about changing the top bush to a bearing, I'll have to investigate!

Reducing the offset of the wheels will increase the scrub radius, which should make steering easier as well, though increasing the tyre width will make it harder. Not sure which effect will win out, I'll have to think about it in the morning!
