109 ffr full canvas hood info?

Has anyone here got a link or contact details for an aussie supplier of quality canvas hoods to fit 109 ffr's? Exmoor are ok but I'd rather put the dollar into a local pocket.
    Cheers,
    Lee

    Lee,
Do you want it to be identical to the military one fitted ? The Exmoor one won't be the same as an Australian military.

There is someone who makes them, he changed his forum name but you should be able to track him down on the REMLR forum. He travels part of the year and then spends some months making canopies.

    Thanks gromit,
I would like it to be as close to the army look as I can get but it is not going to be a full military spec resto.
I will check out the remlr guys.

    Lee,
I got him to repair my original FFR canvas, he let in a new roof panel and repaired some tears. Difference in colour but big saving as it was only the roof that was falling apart.
I also got a complete canopy for a IIa.
Both are in storage until I need them.

Hi REMLR name is Restless Rover, although he has a main business of taking tour groups through Siberia so he is often away during our winter season.

I did hear that Robco Canvas in Marrickville NSW were considering making the tarps for other models. Not sure if that will mean the tarps have the current plastic fittings or the original brass buckles.

Remember tarps for Australian military Land Rovers are different to the design for the UK MoD Land Rovers. One main differences are:
    • Australian ones have side and rear openings with a roll down flap the UK ones have a plastic insert in the rear window and don't usually have a side window/opening.
    • The UK FFR/FFT/FFW have a regular tailgate where Aussie ones have a half height, step over transom.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
