I know it has been a bit over 2 years

I have a series 3 rotary wiper switch.
It has 3 positions, Off, On and On? with push in for washer
On the back are 4 terminals which wire to where?

The more complicated part of the process is I have a single speed wiper motor but I have a Hella variable controller and I was going have that work on the first position
and if the switch is indeed for a 2 speed use the second position for full time wipers.

I have tried to sort out the terminal question by testing "trial and error" and could only find one position where the switch passed power from one terminal to another, maybe the switch has reached it use by date?

Has anyone done the same or something similar?

I took my single speed wiper motor to my local Auto Electrician
To see if it can be made into a two speed one.
He said yes, high speed would be, what it is NOW, low would be half the current speed.
Answer was, look for a two speed motor.

    Thanks for that.
I could find a 2 speed motor but that doesnt solve the first problem which wire to which terminal on the switch
