The old 16 gallon tank was beyond repair and a replacement to be made was over $650 plus freight from other side of oz and the aftermarket second tank was in no better condition
So two new 10 gallon tanks and a rh front tank mount and tank fitting kits were ordered from the uk all up delivered $550 a lot cheaper than going other option would of been over $1000 to replace both
I removed the 16 gallon mount from bulkhead out rigger welded in new tank mount
Fitted up both tanks happy with the results

Well since there is a hold up on my brake parts from the uk due to gst numbers not being issued from the aust government I decided to clean up my rims ready for new tyres
Pulled all tyres out had tyres removed then sandblasted and painted
Sort of happy with result 4 rims perfect 1 rim came out with huge gouges in front face usable and has character but looks terrible and just to cap it off a 88 swb 5 inch rim has snuck in all 6 tyres came with car
Not sure wether to use the damaged face rim or the swb rim as a spare

    Gee they came up good.
I want to get mine done as well.
How much did the sand blasting cost?

I've been paying about $20 (cash) each for blasting at a company in Dandenong.
I approached one company and they wanted $50 to blast & prime ! So $20 and I'll prime it myself.......

Got around to making up some brake lines for front and rear diffs also fitted the new shoes and drums to both front and rear all went on sweet not a problem

Next job was to tyres fitted to rims then throw them on

This were I notice that the rear has a 15/20mm lean to the right hand rear I checked everything but eludes me why the rear crossmember is level with chassis and height from bumpstop to spring is same both sides if I jack between bumps top and chassis on drivers side it will level so maybe need to get springs reset to suit open to any other suggestions thanks in advance

You didnt mix the springs up? Series springs are handed. Left and right. Right side springs are higher than left side springs to allow for drivers weight, fuel tank, battery all on one side. See parts manual or genuine land rover workshop manual for specs
