Most Series 3 from about 1973 would have been fitted with retractable belts - by the time belts became compulsory, retractable ones were compulsory on outboard seats.

my 109 (1974) Truck cab had static. I changed them and ran into a good deal of trouble with the brackets (don't ask)! Would be good to see what brackets you have. Also , am looking forward to seeing your engine - my Diesel 75 has two breathers which I've never seen on anyone else's engine.
cheers,

Was very happy to have the filthy engine and trans out the way. Just looking at it made my hands dirty. I even resorted to using those blue disposable gloves. [emoji1] [emoji1]
Tonight's effort. Removed the rear cab, fuel tank, windscreen and dash bits and pieces.

Also managed to remove the complete wiring loom without too much hassle.

Not much left to go. Scored some second hand industrial bay lights from a mate. So much brighter now in the shed compared to the fluros.
Can anyone tell me what this bracket is for? It's located above the rear diff. I'm guessing extra fuel tank however a quick Google search shows the rear tank located all the way to the back and installed from underneath.
I'm thinking it would make a good spot for a water tank??

It will be for an extra tank - Rover did not put one there, but lots of owners/dealers did on traybacks. The trayback 2a I owned 1965-69 I fitted a water tank there.

As JD has said, but I made a water tube for a mate using 4" (100mm) od copper pipe, it went from the rear X member right up to the back of the T/case, it over hung the rear by approx 3" (75mm) fitted with a ball valve tap, it was very good can't remember how much water it held though too long ago, yours looks good so far cheers Dennis

Chassis completely stripped & pressure washed. Took a lot of time and effort to get the chassis bushes & steering relay out. Lots of hints and tips from this forum helped though.
Have started to pull apart the springs for a freshen up. Some of the clamps are broken. Can anyone recommend a replacement fix for this? I was thinking a u bracket with a bolt through the top? I'm thinking a local trailer shop should have the bits as well a a new center bolt?
