    That's interesting, no tap and it goes to the thermostat as you suggested. I'll look into SLow ("series landrover owners" as a guess?). There is a few things on the old girl that go nowhere, electric wires and cables and it would be great if there is a meet where I could get some opinions.

    RE cleaning the core, I'll have to live with a temporary clean/fix and get it done at a later date, and that genuine hose (100mm) is expensive for what it is!

    If any body is interested I noticed the wreckers at Blacksoil on Toowoomba Hwy near Lpswich has a LWB S3 hard top. I dont know how much of it is left . From what I could see most of the body was still there , may be good for some parts.

    Update on the heater: it cleaned up nicely, to install once I have got the 100mm hose and made up a few brackets to secure it to the body (old ones rusted out).

    What length of hose do you need , I may have enough left over frome when I restored my MGBGT,I will check tomorrow & let you know . I am in Brisbane .
