    Vacum control unit

I took the Mrs to the local tip for her Easter treat and poor old Woodstock was real sluggish on the off and struggling uphill ( more so than usual)! On return - i lifted the bonnet and the vacum advance pipe had come adrift at the distributor end. Popped that back on and a piece of wire to hold it as i didnt have any clamps small enough. I'm hoping that will get things back to how they were - will take it for a run tomorrow to check. I noticed that the control unit was a bit floppy doppy - which i am guessing is not good. From the outside, I could not see how it might be tightened, so question is , can it be tightened or is it buggered and I have to buy a new one? All comments gratefully received as usual.
    cheers,
    D

    25D, Adjuster nut or 45D.
Plenty of Vacuum Control Unit's on line.
Both my 25D have some play.

Good to hear about the play. I'll check out the adjuster nuts. Not even sure what distributor I have! Thanks for the heads up.
