    Transfer case/ Gear box problems

    I've been revitalising my series III (1973) trayback wit a 186 red in it. I recently tried to pull start it as the engine wouldn't start on the battery. When pulled in 2WD the right hand back wheel spun forward and the left hand back wheel spun backward. I've looked through my workshop manual but it didn't have any fault finding relating to the issue. Any ideas about what could be the issue?

    Is the hand brake jammed on?
    Try in a higher gear (2or3)

    yeah I reconditioned all the brakes including the handbrake and tried it in all gears high and low.

    Does it roll with the transfer case in neutral ?
    If it does it's the transfer/gearbox/ clutch, if it doesn't it is the diffs, drive shafts, prop shafts brakes
