What is the colour code for this colour?
Attachment 127041
The colour code probably won't help you, plus colour varies according to the camera and the screen you display the image on. You'll have to take in a sample from a part that hasn't faded and get it matched.
It looks like light green.
Google 'Land Rover Series 3 colours' and lots of codes come up.
Is it UK build or Australian ? The chassis number will help.
Colin
Received new carburetor yesterday, coil and distributor today [biggrin]
Planning to install them tomorrow and will see whether it will start or not.
Was just wondering what are the things they really check on the old car like mine to get roadworthy cert? [bighmmm]
It depends very much on who is inspecting it - some, not familiar with older cars, will expect it to meet criteria that it is not in fact required to meet, and you may need to query some of these.
Some of the things that certainly should be checked, and may be an issue :-
Steering free play, condition of all steering components and brakes. Seat belt condition (worth checking exactly what is required for your date - requirements changed during S3 production. Oil leaks. Upholstery condition. Illegal modifications - tyres, extras, undocumented engine changes, suspension lifts etc. VIN plate, chassis, and documents all agree on VIN. Everything lights, wipers, horn etc all need to work normally. Tyre condition. No exhaust leaks and outlet is at rear. Spring condition and bushes.
