Look at all the tools and **** all over the floor, looks exactly like my shed, except I don't have any pineapple cans.

For the door fixed pane & windscreen it's a mastic strip, not rubber. Most of the Land Rover parts suppliers here or overseas will carry it.

I did find a place in Dandenong that carried it
Foam Sealant, 48-52 Micro Circuit, Dandenong.

I can't find it on their website but it was a similar product to this Butyl Rod | Foam Sealant but in strip form.

Details of fixing doortops here Fitting glass to Series door tops

For the fixed windows in the hardtop & rear door it's a seal with a locking strip, I did manage to get a 30m roll some years back but sold off all the excess. Again, any Land Rover parts supplier will keep it. Clarke Rubber will also probably keep it.
    Glazing Channel

Seal between hardtop & body often shrinks Side Panel Seals it was originally a special profile but a rectangular strip fits & seals OK.

The seals between roof & side panels are a profile I couldn't source, plus they have a 45degree angle that is cut then sealed back together. Any of the parts suppliers here or overseas can supply.
They are 'handed' Seal - roof to hardtop RH - Paddock Spares

Hi. I am thinking to get the rear bench seats so can fit at least 4 people. I am thinking to get this 320737 | Rear Bench Seat Def Black Vinyl - Land Rover Part 320737

Is it easy to install? Do I need seat belts for them? Anyone knows to get the seat belts in australia at least it has australian standard.

Last time I got Securon seatbelts from Paddocks they were AU/NZ standard, about 1/3 the price of local purchase.
Seatbelt requirements depend on when it was registered. Google VicRoads VSI21
If it's previously been registered as a 3 seater you may have problems although if you intend to put it on Club Permit they don't seem to check. You just need to mount them in a 'professional looking manner' for the roadworthy.

Can't confirm the rules/guidelines but my Defender has extra seats that were 'professionally installed. If bolting to aluminium you have to have steel plates either side to spread the load. Worthwhile tracking down some pictures of rear seat belts that have been professionally installed.

There are a couple of brackets needed for the seats, they apparently come with the kits.

Thanks colin. How do I check on vicroads if it was registered as 3 or more seats? Do I call them and give them the chassis?

You'd need the old registration number but if it came without rear seats or holes for rear seats then it was probably registered as a 3 seater.
Sometimes it's not worth stirring up VicRoads

If it's been off the system for long enough they won't hold the details and as rear seats were optional it should be OK fitting them. You just need to make sure it's registered for the number of people you will be carrying otherwise you could have problems if you're pulled by the police or involved in an accident.
When it comes to the roadworthy or registration then they were 'professionally fitted'.

Is it going on the Club Permit system or full rego ?
