Actually if there are any electrical wizards out there. I picked up a new wiring loom for the truck and I'm attempting to plug everything in. The books that i have indicate some purple wires. For the life of me i cannot find a purple wire in this loom. Does anyone have any kind of guide that might be able to help? When it comes to the electrics im well out of my depth.

    Ah. The joys of Christmas.

Time to spend in the driveway making progress on the truck while the kids drive the missus mental in the house.

After the clean up of the steering box I've finally finished the rods and now the wheels turn (yay)

I've also started putting the accelerator back in. The workshop manual isn't as clear on this as i would have hoped. I think im putting it back together properly

And finally im still trying to figure out how to plug this bloody loom into everything....It was only a matter of time

Another sunny day and more progress

Poly bushes replaced those horrid rubber ones that came with the shocks

Removed the old bushes from the chassis (boy that was fun) and new ones inserted.

Tightened everything that was remotely related to the suspension.

Let's see what after lunch brings

    Hi Nick,
Good work! I have read that it’s better to leave the suspension lose, wait a few weeks for it to settle (with weight on the vehicle like engine and gearbox) and then tighten everything up.

    Cheers,
    GG

Thanks! I'll slacken it off and leave it a bit while i focus on the next headache.

Meanwhile....... it needs a new hose but it's bolted back on

I have a lot of spare parts. Most of them old parts that were in the back of the truck when i first picked it up. Other bits have been acquired over time.

Does anyone have any use for them? Free to whoever wants it or I'll just end up throwing it out.

Can anyone tell me where this part is suppose to go? I've just spent the last two hours going through the parts catalogue to try and match it to something with no luck

I don’t recognise it to be honest, but going on your left over parts (which I don’t recognise some of those either!) I wonder if it’s an ex military bracket for something...

It could be. I've managed to scrounge all sorts of parts and while i know some are for a series 2 rather than my 3 this one escapes me. I'll drop it in the 'I don't think I need this' box until I know for sure. Thanks
