It was only a matter of time

I've been waiting for years to actually make the jump and get my hands on an old Land Rover.

Here it is. Found on Gumtree and for the price I grabbed it. I've never really worked on cars before aside from fairly general stuff.

I know it's gonna need some work. Still has the diesel engine in it. Suspension will need to be replaced but from what I can see of the bulkhead and the chassis from crawling underneath the rust I can see is superficial..... time will tell

Now, there's something that's about to change!

Nice find, BTW. If it's not a rude question, what did you pay? Feel free not to answer.

    Not rude at all.

    I paid a whopping $500.

It included (apart from the landy)
    4 spare tyres
    The axil and Diff (below)
All the goodies in the back of the tub
    Bonnet and spare back door

This is a very good question. One I hope to answer soon.

I'll keep posting my progress as I go. At the moment I'm taking it to pieces so I can get to the engine a bit easier

Is this worth trying to repair? Or just get a new one and replace it?
