Parts are on their way, new pistons and rings, bearings, stage 2 cam and full gasket kits including the distributor gasket kit.

Happy days (once the card stops smoking)

Finally got around to dropping off the new pistons at the re borers so they can size up the bores. So I should be picking up the block next week for a bit of reassemble.

    Hello barnfindseries3ffr

Not sure if it has been mentioned previously... however, isn't there a difference in the positioning of the engine mounts if a four cylinder engine is being transplanted into an original six cylinder chassis? This may require the repositioning of the engine mounts or the making of an adaptor.

Also, do you have any photographs of your project that you could post up? By your username it looks like the vehicle could be a Series 3 FFR - there are a number of ex-military restorers here at AULRO. We are also like to admire other people's projects

    Kind Regards
    Lionel

Ok, I have just picked up the block, time to slowly get working on it.
Yes I believe that I will have to fabric up some engine mounts for it, I'm having some issues locating a bell housing, the only one that came up was a nos in Italy of all places so engine mounts are a bit off in the distance for now.

Funny how we don’t think about certain things until it’s too late.

We we have with us at the moment for work, two guys from Italy 🇮🇹,,, the things they could have sent over for us within what was two very very sparsely filled machinery containers
