    The SU conversion is fairly common in the UK. You can get the adaptors ready made from HNJ Engineering as one source:

    HNJ Engineering - Series Land Rover Parts - Land Rover Series SU Carburettor Adaptor Kit

    I haven’t used one, but the quality of their stuff that I have used is very good.
