A Sals has a 9.75" diameter crown wheel, it's huge compared to a Rover and is a full hypoid design so infinitely stronger than the Rover too. The axle shafts are the weak link, Rover using a lot smaller diameter and only 24 splines compared to the Dana 60 it's derived from.
    Being a Series it'll be a 4.7:1 ratio, the coilers used a 3.54:1 ratio

IIRC front diff is Rover type as standard. Sals only went into the rear.
